Overview / 简介:
When a cuddly koala takes an interest in George's snack at the zoo, George is happy to share. In fact, George is happy to share with ALL the animals! Following a trail of peanuts, the zookeepers soon catch up with George and discover this little monkey is good for more than just mischief. The adventures of Curious George continue in an all-new series beginning in fall 1998 with eight new stories. Written and illustrated in the style of Margret and H. A. Rey, the books will appear in paperback (8 x 8") and hardcover editions and will feature the art of Vipah Interactive, the animators of HMI's Curious George CD-ROMs.

From Organization / 国外机构评价:
George is the irrepressibly curious chimp who has delighted children for more than 50 years with his inadvertent antics. Young readers know better than to trust George on his own, but somehow the man with the yellow hat never seems to learn. Although George's intentions are always good, trouble follows this affable ape like a mischievous little shadow. This time the misadventures take place at the zoo, where George and his friend have gone to see the new rain forest exhibit. Despite the "Do not feed the animals" signs, generous George wants to share his peanuts with the cute koalas; the poor, ravenous alligators; and the friendly giraffes. Pandemonium ensues, but George manages to turn things around--and even save the day! Although there's something ever so slightly odd about Curious George visiting a zoo, neither he nor the other visitors seem to be bothered by the incongruity, so why should we? Based on the original Curious George character, and written and illustrated in the style of George's creators, this new episode in everybody's favorite impish chimp's life will delight one and all. Featuring the art of Vipah Interactive, the animators of Curious George CD-ROMs, this book will impress even the hardcore traditionalist. Curious about George's other escapades? About the Author / 作者介绍:
The Reys were born in Hamburg, Germany. Hans Augusto Rey (1898-1977) met his wife-to-be, Margret (1906-1996), at a party in her father's home in Germany; when he first caught a glimpse of her, she was sliding down the banister. In their twenties and thirties they lived in Paris and in Rio de Janeiro, where Hans sold bathtubs in villages along the Amazon River. Eventually Cambridge, Massachusetts, became the Reys' home and community. Throughout their lives the Reys created many lively books together, including SPOTTY, PRETZEL, and lift-the-flap books such as HOW DO YOU GET THERE? The manuscript of the first Curious George books was one of the few items the Reys carried with them on their bicycles when they escaped from Paris in 1940. Eventually, they made their way to the United States, and CURIOUS GEORGE was published in 1941. Their incorrigible little monkey has become an American icon, selling millions of books and capturing the hearts of readers everywhere. CURIOUS GEORGE has been published in many languages, including French, German, Japanese, Afrikaans, and Norwegian. Additional Curious George books followed, as well as such other favorites as CECILY G. AND THE NINE MONKEYS and FIND THE CONSTELLATIONS.
