小蟋蟀也想摩擦翅膀，一一热情得回应它们，可是他发不出半点声音来。

最后这只蟋蟀遇见了一只安静的母蟋蟀，他动了心，想主动问候她。于是他再一次地摩擦翅膀，终于在这关键时刻，蟋蟀发出了最优美的声响，而这声音是母蟋蟀从未听到过，于是向这只小蟋蟀暗许了芳心。
